At the Old School House Nursery, we are committed to making every day special.
We understand the care and nurturing young children need in order to flourish. A high ratio of dedicated staff provide each child with the appropriate support to thrive during the nursery day.
Our day is planned sensitively and responsively to children's interests, whilst considering the importance of familiar routines to ensure children feel safe and secure and develop confidence.
During the session, children may choose from a number of fun and stimulating adult focused and child initiated activities to encourage their exploration, learning and play through interest and discovery.

Mid morning is when we all join together to enjoy our 'healthy' break, which the children may help to prepare, and share news and other points of interest.
We recognise the enjoyment and learning opportunities provided by the outdoor environment. During every session, children are encouraged to explore the outdoors enjoying activities in our well equipped garden and surrounding countryside.

Sharing a story together is often our chosen group activity with which to end the session.
At lunchtime, children enjoy the opportunity to further develop their independence and social skills and join together with staff to enjoy either a cooked or packed lunch.

In the afternoon, activities are centred around working with children of similar ages or stages of development. As children's skills develop, we will introduce activities to extend their learning.

In addition, children are given the opportunity to further their experiences and take part in French and dance lessons provided by visiting professionals.
